Millar Cameron is a recruitment specialist focusing on the placement of experienced professionals into the Agriculture and FMCG industry within emerging and frontier markets such as Africa and the Middle East.

At present we are in the process of sourcing an Interim MD / CEO for a Distillery in East Africa. The Interim MD / CEO will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations as well as all Profit &

Loss and Finance activities are on target and remain in line with group expectations.

This will be a six month assignment working with a highly

prestigious group that is internationally recognised in the FMCG industry.

As Interim MD / CEO your responsibilities will include:

• Report regularly to the Board of Directors,
  ensuring that all targets are hit within the company.
• Manage all heads of department, allowing the
  Factory to run effectively.
• Identify potential growth plans for the future.
• Ensure that an effective hand over process is
  created.
• Be actively involved with Human Resources and
  hiring for skilled professionals for various departments.

The Interim MD / CEO must have:

• A degree level education, preferably in Finance,
  Business or Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience within Distilling
  or a related industry such as Sugar, Brewing or Bioethanol.
• 10 years of experience in a senior operational
  role.

The ideal Operations Director will also have:

• Previous experience of working within an
  international organisation.
• Expatriate experience in Africa, Middle East or
  similar emerging markets.
• A Master’s degree or MBA
